What is a Table Read?
A Table Read is your very first step in the development process of moving a musical from the page to the stage. It’s incredibly life-changing to hear your script read out loud by real life humans for the very first time. At a table read, you’ll get a sense of how your musical is shaping up, and receive important insights on where your script needs clarification or edits. It’s imperative to receive feedback from actors, directors and producers as early as possible in your writing process.

Struggling to organize a Table Read of your new musical? Let us help! Perfect for writers who are not connected to a local theatre community or organization, our Table Read provides a professional and impartial feedback process for your show.
Our actors will conduct a cold read of your script and a feedback discussion will follow. You’ll receive a video recording of the table read, so you can revisit and reference the performance as needed. And as a bonus, you’ll receive a 45-minute debrief/feedback Zoom call with our Producing Director, Rebecca Lowrey, who specializes in the production and development of new musical works.
