The Spirit is Willing is a spiritual, supernatural musical comedy that tells an inventive story about…our fear of dying. After Charlie has a near-death experience, he finds that he can see a spirit world that permeates our existence on earth: dead souls who somehow cannot move on in the afterlife. They have the ability to help Charlie, but will he be able to help them?

This show needs a unifying orchestral approach that merges the celestial with straightforward show tunes. The book and lyrics are written. As with all my shows (www.michaelkaplan.biz), I create specific melodic ideas but need to work with a composer/arranger to complete and notate them. You would not be starting from scratch…but you would not be chained to my ideas either.
